Located at 214 Market Street in the RockPlaza Loft development, Novelty Burger & Bar is a classic American burger joint inspired by the charm and sophistication of the 1950s with modern approach to family-friendly, high quality dining experience.

Novelty is named after a known Newark institution – Novelty Grill & Bar – a once popular hotspot where the who’s who of Newark flocked to have cocktails in the restaurant’s “Club” Room, formerly located at 218 Market Street.

With the goal of integrating remnants of historic Newark back into Market Street, the new Novelty offers unique sodas, hand cut French fries, a choice of signature burgers with the option to build your own burger, desserts and cocktails.

All burgers will be cooked with the revolutionized, sous-vide technique which calls for them to be cooked for longer periods of time at a lower temperature to be yield the most flavorful and juiciest burgers in town. This cooking approach typically involves vacuum sealing burgers and placing them in a water bath to cook at a very precise, consistent temperature.

Burgers are made with only the finest ingredients, no hormones, no antibiotic, fresh cuts of meat ground the old fashion way with a signature blend of all natural spices.
