Newport Fire-EMS 4.1

Newport Fire-EMS is a combination call and career department. We have 7 full-time personnel. There are (4) FF/EMT's that rotate a 24 hour shift every four days. (1) FF/EMT Tuesday-Friday 0600-1800 hrs. (1) Capt./Paramedic Monday-Thursday 0600-1800 hrs. and (1) Monday-Friday Fire Chief. We have 25 call firefighters on the active roster. We also have 35 call ems personnel. Call ems and some call firefighter's operate shift on per-diem on select days. Ems provides primary ems coverage to the Town of Newport, Goshen. During the winter months. we respond mutual aid to any MCI and any place golden cross ambulance needs assistance. Newport Fire provides automatic mutual aid on 1st alarm or working fires to Croydon, Goshen, Sunapee also Claremont and Lempster as a R.I.T. Team. Newport Fire-EMS in 2014 did a combination 2207 Calls (EMS 1456 and Fire with a Newport Department New Record of 751.)
