Miss Amelia grew up in Campbell, CA and always loved music. She began flute lessons at the age of 10 in the local public school system. She went on to pursue her musical studies in college and received her Bachelors in Flute Performance from San Jose State University and her Masters in Flute Performance from the University of Iowa. She has a robust flute studio with many award-winning students and she also teaches recorder and general music at St. Martin of Tours Elementary School. She was an active chamber musician for over 10 years and performed throughout the country including a debut performance at the infamous Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Miss Amelia began teaching Kindermusik 15 years ago and instantly fell in love with the creative energy of the young child. A few years later she became the Director of the Early Childhood Music Program at the Community School of Music and Art in Mountain View, a position she held for several years. She paused her early childhood music teaching in order to raise her two small children. During this time, she served as a weekly volunteer teaching assistant at her children's co-op preschool and continued to teach private lessons. Now that her children are school-aged, she is very excited to begin teaching Kindermusik again and sharing her love of music with families throughout Silicon Valley.

In Miss Amelia's Kindermusik classes, parents and children are invited to explore a highly imaginative and fun musical learning environment. Kindermusik will give your children the tools they need for a lifelong love of music and learning.
