MI FAMILIA CENTER: SERVING MIGRANT COMMUNITIES, INC., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that, through the work of VOLUNTEERS, DONATIONS, and GRANTS, and in partnership with REINHARDT UNIVERSITY and the support of the NORTH GEORGIA CONFERENCE (Atlanta-Roswell District), has taken the lead in Georgia in providing charity and educational services to hundreds of impoverished migrants who live in Canton and nearby cities. Although the Center seeks to serve all migrants, given current demographics, Hispanics/Latinos have been the group that this organization has served the most. The idea is to address POVERTY and INJUSTICE, as we empower migrants and model values that will create conditions for social change and build stronger interdependent communities.
