McAlester Army Ammunition Plant 5.04

McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) was originally commissioned as the Naval Ammunition Depot McAlester on May 20, 1943 and began its first production in August 1943. On October 1, 1977 the naval facility was transferred to the Army under the Single Manager for Conventional Ammunition act.

MCAAP is the Department of Defense's premier bomb and missile warhead loading facility. As a government-owned/government-operated (GOGO) facility we are capable of loading large and small quantities of bombs.

We produce bombs ranging from 250 pounds to the Massive Ordnance Air Burst (MOAB) bomb weighing in at 21,700 pounds--the world's third largest bomb.

Our products and services are available to other government agencies, defense contractors, and foreign allies.
