I am a local stringer that is dependable, has plenty of experience, same day service, quality and current USRSA member.

I want to give options for clients to interact with the stringing process that you don't get from big chain or local pro shop. Not that their not good at what they do, but sometimes in a business you don't have time for chatting. You miss out on that personal relationship you have with your stringer or lack continuance/consistency due to staffing, so the person stringing today is not stringer you had before.

The #1 question I get from new clients is "what tension should I use?"

My personal opinion is based upon 2 factors:
1. How you are currently playing with your setup?
Are you hitting it long on a full swing? Are you holding back a full swing to keep the ball in court? Are you great with control and want to explore a little more power? What are your likes/dislikes on current setup? Are your arms sore/elbow issues after play?

2. How often do you string your racquet?
If you are just changing out your strings for the first time that you bought a years ago, finding a tension will be much easier. A player who has a set tension trying to tweak and explore other options will be more difficult.

I have a personal check list I give to every player who is seeking a tension guide. It helps after playing with newly strung racquet to target in likes/dislikes and from that I can modify accordingly. Basically Trial and Error.

I use a constant pull electronic machine that is accurate and has consistent reading. I calibrate after 20ish racquet recommended by USRSA.

String options: I prefer 2 piece, but if racquet requires one piece I will go with recommended stringing method.
