Founding Partner Robert M. Logan, Jr. - Born in Lake, Mississippi, Robert received his BA in Political Science and J.D. from University of Mississippi (1975). Robert has been licensed to practice law since 1975. Prior to entering private practice, he served as a JAG attorney in the United States Army. He has been representing individuals, businesses and families in Newton, Mississippi, since 1980. . Robert practiced with the Gerald, Brand firm (Jackson & Newton) from1978 to 1991, before founding what is now Logan & Mayo. He is Married with four children and active in United Methodist Church. His other positions include: past President, Newton Chamber of Commerce; past President, Newton Lions Club; former Bar Commissioner, former member of State Bar Ethics Committee; past President, Mississippi Municipal Attorneys Association; past President, Friendship Breakfast Club. Cattleman. He has a strong interest in history and politics.


Partner Brian D. Mayo - Born in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Brian received his BA in Criminal Justice from Northeast Louisiana University (1997) before going on to receive his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law (2001). Brian clerked for Mississippi Court of Appeals (2001 โ€“ 2002) before going into private practice. He is married with two children and active in Clarke-Venable Baptist Church. Brian is a member of Rotary International and the President of the Newton Chamber of Commerce.

Associate Mitchell D. Thomas - Mitchell is a life-long resident of Mississippi. He and his wife Jacki live in Decatur, only a block from the Logan & Mayo Decatur office and the Newton County Courthouse. He grew up in Neshoba and Leake Counties before going on to receive his BA from Mississippi State University in Political Science, and his law degree from Ole Miss in 2014. In law school, Mitchell was Student Coordinator of the UM Pro Bono Initiative and received the 2014 Pro Bono award for his work in the Initiative's Family Law clinical programs. Mitchell was also a recipient of the 2014 Adams & Reese Pro Bono Scholarship. In addition to his work in the Family Law clinics, Mitchell was a member of the UM Housing Law clinic where he worked on litigation involving landlord-tenant, mortgage, construction defect, and real property title disputes. In addition to his practical experience in law school, Mitchell has worked as an intern with Logan & Mayo since 2012, giving him the abilities and resources to provide high-quality, knowledgeable representation to our clients.
