Philosophy
Little Scholars @ Play Academy’s Outlook on Education for young children.

How young children learn: At Little Scholars, teach the way children learn. We believe children learn through play in addition to interactive learning experiences with adults and their environment. We believe that children learn best when their individual strengths are challenged.

The purpose of age appropriate and developmentally appropriate practices: Educating young children in their early learning years is a critical opportunity to nurture their curiosity, develop problem-solving skills, encourage their ability to make decision, and to fully equip children with a strong academic foundation to succeed in school and in life.
Play is planned for everyday!

The Educator’s Responsibility: The staff is committed to actively engaging children through age appropriate and developmentally appropriate practices that monitors the developmental domains in each child. Each child’s social, physical, emotional, and cognitive growth help’s foster a joyful classroom environment, providing a sense of cooperation and community.

Parent partnerships are key for a strong educational foundation with respect to understanding and appreciating the uniqueness of each child’s culture.
We also believe character development is critical for children in their early learning years. We have adopted the 6 Pillars of Character Development as foundation in support of our philosophy.
