3 & 4 Year Old Program
Children must be 3 years old by September 10th. Children must have 1 more year before moving into Kindergarten.

The goals of this program are:
• Increase attention span through games, art, and focused learning time. In the beginning, we will do short activities, increasing as the year goes on.
• Following directions – each day, kids will learn to follow simple directions, such as taking out art supplies, lining up, picking up toys, and table activities.
• Lining up – kids will practice lining up, standing with hands & feet to themselves, & moving to the next activity.
• Group play – Playing in a group is a skill kids must learn. Sharing, working together, including friends and following rules of play is a skill that is learned by doing. Play is an important learning activity!
• Manners and respect – Each day, throughout the morning, we are always working on using our manners, being respectful, and conflict resolution. We encourage, we model, and we celebrate these positive things. Language is given to help children express their needs and boundaries.
• Learn to be confident and secure without Mom and Dad.

Our overall goal is to help children get ready for Kindergarten. This starts by learning how to be in a classroom. Children will learn appropriate skills that get them ready for the next stage of learning and be successful. Activities are about the process NOT the end result! You may wonder what your child is bringing home or why we do something (and don't be afraid to ask!)....it may not look the way you think it should look....but while creating, your child was learning to express themselves, try new things, work with different materials in different ways, and having a hands on experience. All of these things help kids apply what they are learning to their own lives! Our hope is that every children that leaves our program, feeling confident, secure, cared for, and ready for their jump into “big school”. Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions! We want this to be as positive of an experience for you as it is for your children!
