"Where the Little House Books were written." - In 1894, Almanzo & Laura Ingalls Wilder, with their daughter Rose, settled on Rocky Ridge Farm near Mansfield, MO. In 1932, Laura Ingalls Wilder published the first of her beloved "Little House" books. Laura's home is just as she left it, carefully preserved as it was in 1957. As the New York Times quoted, "The house is bursting with treasures...a must detour for lovers of Laura's books." Our new Museum/Library keeps Laura's and Rose's memorabilia safe and available for visitors. We look forward to your visit!
