Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is one of the Pediatric Subspecialties of the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Our team of experts cares for children, adolescents, and their families with a wide range of developmental and behavioral disorders. We are the largest program in Upstate NY offering comprehensive care to children with developmental and behavioral disorders. Our multidisciplinary team includes developmental-behavioral pediatricians, registered dieticians, pediatric nurse practitioners, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, pediatric social workers, psychologists, and others.

Our many programs, including the new Levine Autism Clinic and the Kirch Motor Development Program, provide expert care for children and families. We offer diagnostic evaluation as well as a range of medical and behavioral treatments for children with developmental delays and disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and intellectual disability. Our team works closely with families, primary care providers, Early Intervention, school teams, and other community agencies to ensure children and families have the supports they need.

We also lead research studies to help determine what treatments are most helpful to children and families affected by different developmental disorders. Our research teams work together on studies that are supported by organizations such as the National Institutes of Health and private foundations such as Autism Speaks.

Our Facebook page is directed at parents, community providers, and young people touched by developmental delays and disabilities. We will provide information about parenting, parenting children with special needs, disabilities, and research opportunities. We will also link to community supports and opportunities, and share information about our team, programs, and future plans. Be sure to visit our UR LEND page and Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities page for education and community-related content.
