Sitting astride South Mountain in southern Pennsylvania, Kings Gap Environmental Education Center offers a panoramic view of the Cumberland Valley and offers many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. The education classroom is open Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Acquired in 1973, Kings Gap consists of a 32-room stone mansion, education offices and 2,571 acres of land. Explore the pine plantation, deciduous forest, vernal ponds and native plant garden from sunrise to sunset anytime of the year. Kings Gap provides environmental programs and events for all ages throughout the year. More than twenty miles of hiking trails connect three main day use areas of the park: Pine Plantation Day Use Area, Kings Gap Hollow Day Use Area and Mansion Day Use Area.
