The Jukido Academy is the longest running school of self-defense in Palm Coast and Flagler County, Florida - Established in October 1999.

Our dojo is an authentic school that emphasizes a complete approach to the art of jujitsu. The physical focus of Jukido Jujitsu is the application of the art for realistic modern self-defense scenarios. The underlying premise from which the art is built is the understanding that the user will be physically smaller and weaker than their attacker. As such, the art must emphasizes principles and techniques that are designed specifically to ensure their effectiveness against this reality.

The non-physical philosophical aspect of our jujitsu emphasizes emphasizes a moral code based on the classic warrior code of bushido. This warrior philosophy is encompassed by the virtues of: courage, honor, loyalty, justice, benevolence, veracity, and politeness.

The Chief Instructor of the Jukido Academy is George Rego Sensei (5th dan). Master Rego is a direct student of the founder of Kokondo martial arts system, martial arts pioneer, and US Marine, Shihan Paul Arel. The dojo is also well served by it's strong team of black belts. The dojo is truly a family made up of instructors, black belts, students, parents, and extended families of our members.

The Jukido Academy is the regional headquarters dojo for the International Kokondo Association (IKA), based in Palm Coast, Florida with branch programs in the surrounding area.
