Ingram Maintenance & Welding was established with one goal in mind: "Doing it right, the first time"

We take the extra step, spend the extra few minutes to inspect, evaluate and totally repair whatever we are working on.

We now have our Magneto Repair Center set-up and operational right next door to our Carburetor Shop. This is where we disassemble magnetos, inspect every aspect of them, re-magnetize magneto rotors on our American Bosch (circa 1918) magnet charger, we then, after all bearings are certified and repairs are complete, spin test the finished units to verify that the components are up to snuff.
You see, we don't just replace parts willy-nilly, we test each part individually on the bench and then test the completed unit as a whole with our Makelim (circa 1920) Magneto Spin Tester. The spin test is in essence a load test for a magneto. If the unit is going to fail, it will fail on the test bench. By spin testing each unit, we verify that the magneto is "HOT" and will endure on your equipment for many more years to come.


In our Carburetor Shop, we rebuild Marvel Shebler, Zenith, and various other vintage and antique carburetors. They are torn down, soaked in the carb tank and scrubbed to ensure that all the ports are clean and then we "size" the ports and passages to make sure there were no mistakes made in the manufacturing process. The same goes for the jets, they are inspected, cleaned and sized.
