By offering viewing of in-progress* work, we are creating a bond between the artwork and the collector.
You can speak with the artist(s), view current work and discuss commissioned work and work for sale in the gallery.
Our goal is to provide beautiful work as well as the passion behind it.

This is a dream of Owner Margie Rigney to bring live work to the collector in a studio environment that inspires!

****What’s in our name? ****
“High South” refers to the geographic location of Kentucky as a whole within the Southern United States.
Because it resides at the top, it is often affectionately referred to by our fellow citizens further South, as the “High South”.

What is the goal for High South Art House?
High South Art House is a working Studio/gallery.
This means that while selling ALL Local Artwork, Fine handmades, Personalized glassware and other work, it also is the studio and work base where part of the work is
created.
With the beautiful window frontage of the property we hope to bring “Living in-progress” work as a new curiosity to the downtown area.

We expect to be open a minimum of three days per week for sales 12 - 6 pm Thursday thru Saturday and another minimum of two days for dedicated Live In-Progress* Studio work 11 am to 3 pm Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday*.

However these times could extend if more business hours are needed or if work that is in progress needs to continue so check our page for more information and extended times for special events.

*The Live In-progress work can and will consist of Artist(s) doing studio creations visual to the passerby either through the streetview window
frontage during Studio hours or inside the business during Sales hours.
