HeavenBound Deliverance Center, is the furtherance and manifestation of the vision God seeded into the spirit of our Pastor, L. L. Hosley, Sr. Though not yet realized and never imagined by Pastor Hosley, the vision was birthed in February of 1991 as purely an evangelistic music and word community choir and outreach, known as HeavenBound Gospel Music Ministry. This high-energy music generated vehicle, inevitably would serve the people of God all across this country and even abroad. As God would have it, several gifts and talents were discovered within the group, and it was prophetically spoken that this ministry would birth and propel others into their places of purpose. Because of the multifaceted character of the group, Pastor Hosley was moved to change the name to HeavenBound Ministries.

Solely because of the divine favor of God, the group was blessed to minister along side some of God’s most notable servants and perhaps one of their greatest accomplishments was to record in May of 1996. The project is entitled “Our Story.” Some would say that because of the demand for the ministry and the blessings that were being bestowed on the evangelistic ministry through crusades, conferences, revivals, and concerts, that this was enough. However, in early 1997 Pastor Hosley felt as if God was speaking to him about more, and his only prayer was for God to confirm that call in the heart of his leader Bishop Hopkins. After meeting with Bishop initially the call was confirmed but Pastor Hosley was encouraged by his spiritual leader to await the precise timing of God, and in the mean time to walk closely with him in order to observe and learn. Pastor Hosley did as instructed and walked in the shadow of Bishop Hopkins until mid-way through 1998 they agreed that the time of release into the pastoral ministry had arrived.

With the blessing of God and the covering of his leader, Pastor Hosley began holding mid-week bible studies in his home on June 3, 1998 with his devoted wife and children, The Collins Family and Sis Wendy Wiggins, who all yet remain with the church today. The meetings continued there in his home with just the faithful few, but the Lord met us there each week. In seeking out a worship facility, the Lord lead our Pastor to the corner of N. Willamette and Gay street to meet with Pastor Gene Welliver of the New Heights church to discuss sharing the beautiful facilities there, and were graciously welcomed. The charge from God was that “Deliverance” was not just to be the name on the building but the atmosphere within. HeavenBound Deliverance Center held it’s initial Sunday Worship Service there at 2:15pm on the first Sunday of January 1999 and phase two of the vision was now in motion. In November of 2000 we hosted our first Voice of Deliverance Conference and our guest was Prophetess Juanita Bynum. We continued to worship there until June of 2001. During the first two years the church hosted its own radio broadcast entitled “Heaven’s Voice of Deliverance” which aired twice weekly on 1290AM KKSL. Pastor Hosley and 1st Lady Hosley were regular hosts of our local Praise The Lord TBN television broadcast, and Pastor’s preaching segments were named as some of the most requested and replayed. Through these two forms of media people began to come and see what was going on at HeavenBound Deliverance Center. The Lord blessed the church to do a number of things to benefit the community. The church has added an outreach arm called “We care, We Share Community Outreach.” Under the umbrella we house our Women of Virtue Support Program, Free Indeed Prison Ministry, He’s My Brother (Strengthening the Brotherhood), Restoration Generation (Youth), and several other future programs already in development.

Pastor Hosley was again directed to seek out the Pastor of Parkrose Tabernacle Deliverance Church, Pastor E. E. Blackmon, to inquire about the use of their former building as God had blessed them to build a new facility. Although others had inquired about the building, Pastor Blackmon never Felt comfortable leasing it until he met with Pastor Hosley, and on the 4th Sunday of July 2001 at 12:30PM HeavenBound Deliverance Center was once again worshipping at a new location. We were given the liberty to enhance and beautify the building as we saw fit. In July 2003 we joined forces with Pastor Aaron Hamlin and the Mallory Christian Church at 123 NE Alberta. Pastor Hosley preached at several of their services and our staff helped to facilitate community events such as holiday feedings and harvest parties for the youth. One of the highlights while there was again our VOD Conference where we hosted Pastor Nathan Simmons and Dorinda Clark-Cole. While this location gave us the space to facilitate ministry our 8:00AM worship service time was a challenge for most, but the chore group stayed together. The Lord spoke to our Pastor once again and instructed him to find a building that would allow us to move into a more traditional (11 o'clock) hour, God promised that if we did this, the church would grow. So after several meetings with Pastor Steven Holt, Pastor of International Fellowship, on the first Sunday in December 2005 the door was opened for us to move our first 11:00 AM worship service at 5131 NE 23rd and just as the Lord said in just six short months we grew almost to capacity on the lower level of the church.

In October of 2009, Pastor Hosley was appointed by Dr. H.L. Bostic (CEO) and the Executive Board of the AOH Church of God Inc. to Pastor/Shepherd the remaining membership of the Original Faith Tabernacle Church, which was fathered and founded by the Late Bishop Louis W. Osborne, Sr. The two churches are now combined and operating as one entity of ministry - HeavenBound Deliverance Center. In 2012 God furthered his favor and positioned us in the heart if the city at 84 NE Killingsworth to facilitate ministry. We have already begun to do Outreach and Evangelism and are working diligently to cancel the mortgage on this building!! If you are one of those that is looking for a miracle and expecting the impossible, come visit us because we are the church were what you hear...happens!
