Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area (Habitat) is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area is an ecumenical housing ministry with the goal of eliminating poverty housing. Unwilling to accept the fact that thousands of families live without adequate shelter, Habitat challenges and invites individuals, religious organizations of all faiths, companies, foundations, and other organizations to join with us to improve the living conditions of people existing in inadequate housing. In order to do that, Habitat creates a joint venture in which those families who benefit from the housing contribute their labor in the form of 350 “sweat equity hours” to the successful completion of the home.

We've had a lot of folks put in requests on our Facebook page for us to update our info to include a price range. We don't want you all to think that we're just ignoring you, so here's the quick breakdown:
Facebook gives you 4 options for a "price range": $, $$, $$$, or $$$$. Unfortunately, you can only choose one of these. To be accurate, we would want to put an actual range of $ to $$$$ for the ReStore.
The items that we accept vary widely, not only in what they are, but in their condition and age as well. For example, there are some cabinets that sell for as low as $1, while another cabinet might sell for $125. Or, you could even have an entire set for $3,000!
We price our items at roughly 50-70% off of retail value and regularly mark items down.
We hope this explains our reticence to post that information to our page. Thank you all for your interest and support of the Harrisburg ReStore!
