Gurdon Public Schools Health and Wellness Center 2.45

The Gurdon Wellness Center is a school based health clinic located within Gurdon High School that offers both physical and mental health services on school campus.

We have 4 staff members:
Alesa Sims-Administrative Assistant
Angie Ledbetter - Wellness Center RN
Dee Blackwell - Wellness Center RN
Wendy Schaeffer- Mental Health Therapist/Coordinator of Mental Health Services.

In addition to the services provided by our staff, we partner with other health care providers to make sure that all of our students have access to quality health care!

Our partners are:
-Baptist Health (June Wolfe, APN). This partnership allows students to set up medical appointments in the Wellness Center one day per week.

-Gurdon Family Dentistry (Dr. Adam Delee, Jill Jester, Dental Hygienist). This partnership allows students to receive preventative dental services such as dental exams, x-rays, and cleanings in the Wellness Center.

We also contract with two community mental health agencies to provide mental health services on campus. These agencies are Therapeutic Family Services (TFS) and Arkansas Counseling and Psychodiagnostics (ACAP)
