Gig City Productions- founded in 2014 to build high quality events with a focus on live music. The experience of the event precedes all other goals for GCP. In the Chattanooga area, words like economic development and artistic quality for the community get used to describe reasons for promoting events, GCP feels exactly the same. We believe if you can create an event and grow and change to meet the needs of the community by improving the experience year after year, you will reach the economic and artistic goals.

The "experience" is Gig City Productions' objective. A quality professional experience for the community, the staff, and the participants. Fun and excitement through organization and teamwork among like-minded partners.

Barrett Taylor and Jonathan Susman have more than twenty years of collective event management and music production experience. Barrett worked in for-profit and not-for-profit fundraising, marketing, and sales in East Tennessee over the last fifteen years. He played in bands, chaired events, volunteered for events, and sat on numerous committees that planned and finished both big and small events including concerts, awards dinners, conferences, and parties.

Jonathan brings a diverse range of experiences including: producing, promoting, fundraising, and performing for a variety of events - both large and small scale. He hauled and assembled (who knows how many) large speakers, staging, lighting, and his own drum set. Jonathan worked in video with CMT and several other production companies while working in Nashville. From stage manager to performer, production assistant to runner, he has seen nearly every side of the performance arena.

Together the team worked on many events as volunteers or simply as advisors to organizations and each other... constantly strategizing on how to improve ongoing events in the area, grow those events for the community, and improve the experience for the patrons, entertainers and staff.

We regularly ask ourselves, how do we as a company support the ongoing great events in the Chattanooga area including Nightfall, Riverbend, 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival, Jazzanooga, and especially the local music scene? Gig City Productions is positioning itself as the "experience" professionals. Connecting the businesses to the venue to the community by supporting the entertainment and those who work so hard to make it all happen.
