We recognize that God has designated seasons of growth and seasons of action; and a little bit of both. We understand that God does not expect us to be evangelists 24/7 but that He places us in times of "desert" so that He may train us and grow. The "desert" is like God's bootcamp. Moses was in the desert/wilderness for a time. The Israelite Nation wandered in the wilderness before being given the full blessing of God. David was a shepherd for all his younger life before he came to shepherd the nation of Israel. Jesus did not start his ministry until he was around his 30's. Many more examples both in Biblical and Post-Biblical history of heroes of the faith being in a season of growth before coming to action.
We also recognize that God doesn't just keep us in a season of growth. God is calling us to something now in this time of our lives, whether you be in your tweens, teens, or post 20. Let us come together in the unity of Christ, the guidance and love of God, and the power of His Holy Spirit to pray and seek the vision that God has uniquely destined for every one of us.
(Isaiah 12:3)
