Many people ask what the difference between raw honey and store bought is when you buy super market honey you are buying it ultra-pasteurized.
With the process of ultra-pasteurization the manufactures ultra-filter the honey so much that you no longer receive pollen that makes it possible to trace it back to the origin. After the filtration process it is then heated to over 150°F which kills all the beneficial bacteria.
Raw honey is just that, there is no ultra-filtering. The honey is not heated therefor you may receive the benefits that honey should give to you and you hear so much about.
