PURPOSE:
To relate to, comfort and encourage children. To give them the understanding, attention and love of an adult mentor, through an intense four days of fellowship and outdoor activities. The mentor's goal is to give his entire focus to the needs, concerns, comfort and guidance of the children he is paired with for the full four days of camp.

Our goal is to fulfill the child's need to know that someone sees, hears and is truly concerned about him. Even though it is a short period of time together, our goal is that the image of a caring mentor will last forever. Annual one day reunions each year, are our desire to stay connected with previous campers, hoping some of these children will become future mentors themselves.

RETREATS:
The camp will be Monday noon to Friday noon; four days and four nights of activity packed adventure!

Father's Image retreats will be held during the summer months June through August.

Each retreat will be geared toward the following age groupings:
--First and Second Grade
--Third and Fourth Grade
--Fifth and Sixth Grade
--Seventh and Eighth Grade

The desired ratio of children to mentor guideline will be no more than 2-1, allowing for plenty of quality time with every child. There will be no more than 12 children and 6 mentors per camp session, thus allowing quality social activities, games and events, as well as one on one bonding time.

Employees and mentors will adhere to standard background checks.

MEALS:
Three meals a day, snacks and beverages will be provided. Some outdoor meals, weather permitting.

ACTIVITIES:
Water Sports - swimming, canoeing, kayaking.

Outdoor Skills - hiking, geocaching/scavenger hunts, orienteering.

Campfires - singing, daily adventure story sharing, star gazing, enjoying snacks, s'mores, and roasting marshmallows.

Games - horseshoes, washers, archery, paintball, b b guns, slingshots (all target competition only), pool table, tennis table, darts and shuffleboard.

EVENTS:
Game Night - table tennis pool table, darts, hand shuffleboard

Movie Night - all movies will be family value rated

FEES:
Father's Image is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. Donations are accepted, however no fees will be charged to the children. We do not want finances to prohibit any child from being able to attend, but we welcome donations of any size to help with the running of the camp.

Locate your application online at here at facebook.com/fathersimage or request one via email at fathersimage14@gmail.com. Download, print and complete all pages of the application packet. Then return via email, US mail or drop by to the address below.

All applications are subject to approval and limited to availability. After your application is reviewed, we will send out notification of acceptance with releases, disclosures, etc. These documents must be returned as soon as possible to ensure your spot.

Camps will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.

If you are accepted for the camp, but not able to attend, please notify us as soon as possible, but no less than 48 hours in advance. This will ensure that we will have an opportunity to give the spot the the next child in line.
