The Capital District Cooperative, home of the Farmers Market in Menands, was created by the farmer for the farmer in 1933. In 2010, the USDA officially declared the market a Regional Food Hub.

There are three components to the Farmers Market in Menands: The Saturday Retail Market, the morning wholesale market, and the wholesaler tenants.

The Saturday Retail Market is open every Saturday, May through October, 9AM to 1PM. We operate under a shed pavilion, so we're undercover, open rain or shine.

The morning wholesale market takes place on the market square every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 5:30AM to 7:30AM, May through October. Farmers meet on the square to sell to each other and to retailers and restaurants; some do sell the public as well if you are willing to buy in bulk.

The wholesaler tenants are open from 6AM to 1PM (hours subject to change depending on weather and product availability), May through October, every day except for Sunday. They do sell to the public. These wholesalers are Black Horse Produce, Decker's Produce, and Esposito's Flower and Produce.

In addition to the aforementioned wholesalers, we also have other tenants at the market such as Adventure in Food Trading. Check out all our tenants and their various contact and additional information on the "Other Businesses" page of our website: CapitalDistrictFarmersMarket.org.
