The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department has been proudly serving Fairview Township, Erie County, PA since it was founded in 1933. Since 1933 the fire department has seen a lot of changes, but one thing remains the same, and that is providing fire, rescue, ambulance, and fire police services to the township, and surrounding agencies.
The department started in 1933 with the citizens of Fairview purchasing a Chevy pickup truck, that was converted into our first pumper. The department still owns this orginal truck, that is housed at our second station on route 5, unfortunately it needs a lot of work before being a "show piece" for the community. Since its start the department has been housed in 3 seperate locations and has an additional station house that is the home of a second line Engine which is a 1985 Grumman, and the West County Paramedics staff an ambulance and medic unit at station 53.
Our main station (Station 52) is located at 7190 W. Ridge Road, next to Doctor Turners office! This station houses our ambulance, brush unit, State Certified Rescue Company, our first due Engine, the second largest water tender in the county, and a converted ambulance that is now our fire police unit.
