What is Factor Financing and how can I use it to unlock immediate cash for my business?

Factoring is a financial transaction and a type of debtor finance in which a business sells its accounts receivable (i.e., invoices) to a third party (called a factor) at a discount (the discount fee is typically anywhere from 3-10% of the total invoice amount.)

A business will sometimes factor its receivable assets to meet its present and immediate cash flow needs.

Non recourse factoring can also reduce the invoice owners risk by transferring the responsibility of collecting the debt to the Factor bank.
