I shoot natural light and mostly outdoors. If you have a location that you want to use I am very flexible because I love to discover new places. I do have a few backdrops that I can set up in case of bad weather.

I had someone recently ask me what my professional qualifications are for being able to call myself a photographer. I have to say no I did not go to school to get a degree in photography. I am actually getting a degree in Human Development and Family studies with a concentration in Family Life Education. But I love people and love even more being able to catch moments that are special to them.

It all started when I was in the 8th grade and my godfather gave me my first camera. The camera he got for me was older than me but I fell in love with the complexity and the pictures it would take. I have pretty much taught myself starting with film and now I am shooting digital. I did buy the books for dummies to teach me about the different settings on my camera. I then took two classes online taught by a wonderful photographer by the name of Rachel Brenke. I can tell you I learned more from her two classes than I ever did from reading a book. While I am not the most popular I am very passionate about getting them right. And yes I am still learning. I feel like if I am not still learning from others who are better than me and if I can't offer the knowledge I have learned over the years then I am doing something wrong. I believe my passion and hard work make me who I am today.
