The Dayton Community Building, built in 1917, is the last remmant of what was once a thriving coal mining town. Originally a schoolhouse, the building serves as a meeting place for organizations such as the local 4H Club and the Extension Homemakers Club which is responsible for the care and maintenance of the old dame.
