Hi! My name is Liz. I am the founder, director, and lead teacher for Crescit Academy Preschool in Chandler, Arizona. Thank you for visiting our site. We look forward to providing a loving, caring, holistic educational environment for your little one and your family.

Crescit Academy Preschool is my professional dream come true. We are just getting started and are very small, but I am excited to watch us grow. Growth is the theme of our school…Growing Hearts, Growing Minds, Growing Community. Crescit means “growing” in Latin and whether it is used in the context of physical growth, educational growth, character growth, or growing a beautiful garden, all of us at Crescit will be in a constant state of growing, learning, and reaching out to each other to be our personal best and to have a positive impact on those around us.

I am passionate about teaching and education. I feel so fortunate to have been actively involved with and devoted to so many families over the course of my career in the public and private school system. I have been an educator for over 15 years. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education: Mathematics from Wright State University in Ohio and continued on to earn my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. In 2006 I was awarded the Tempe Diablos Excellence in Education Award. I began as a fifth grade teacher, mentor, and coach in Ohio for five years and then moved to sunny Arizona. Here I have taught 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, mentoring future teachers, leading school clubs, and participating in many committees before taking a break to raise my own little girls. I have taught education courses at Paradise Valley Community College as an adjunct professor and have spent time as a Primary Lead Teacher in Montessori. During my stay home with my girls, I have continued my education, training, research, and state certification requirements. I have taken course work through Rio Salado University where I shifted my focus to Early Childhood Education. Inspired by watching my own two young learners grow, and knowing how difficult the search for excellent early childhood education and care can be, I am so happy to be able to start my own program providing a home away from home for many more young learners. This allows me the opportunity to be close and connected to two of my great loves, my family and my teaching.
