Covenant Christian School 3.55

The major purpose of Covenant Christian School is to provide a Christian learning atmosphere for every child. This includes the following list of specifics:
1. We purpose to bring children into a proper relationship with God. This involves, first, the offer of the gospel message. Next, we seek to present God’s truth about life and living, our world and the nature of man, and to present the Word of God as the authoritative source upon which to build a life that has purpose and meaning. To accomplish this purpose, Christian education must put the Bible at the center and require the child and the teacher to evaluate all they see in the world through the eyes of God.
2. We purpose to prepare children with the basic tools of learning including introductory reading, math, and the ability to express thoughts orally and in writing make up the disciplines of learning and give children the tools they need to become productive Christ-honoring citizens.
3. We purpose to build students with a system of values consistent with the Word of God. This will result in a generation of children whose ethics and sense of moral right and wrong are grounded in God’s absolute truth not humanistic relativism.
4. We purpose to develop in students an appreciation for our country and our Christian heritage.
5. We purpose to uphold the sanctity of our homes and our churches. It is the duty of Christian educators to work on behalf of and in cooperation with parents in the academic training of their children. Deuteronomy 6 is not intended to take place just in the home. It is to go on at all times. A child’s education in school should harmonize with his education at home and at church.
