Set along the Allegheny River, Choderwood is a leafy green oasis within the City of Pittsburgh. Choderwood is more than a house - it is a lifestyle! The house was built by the Corps of Engineers in 1905. The property is a unique private residence that sits on the Allegheny River at the Highland Park Dam, near the Pittsburgh Zoo, just minutes from Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Lalwrenceville and Downtown.

After entering the gates into Choderwood, the lovingly created gardens, ponds and and other amenities help you to forget the outside world. Ammenities include: A stream connecting the koi ponds, a greenhouse enclosed swimming pool, a hot tub overlooking the River and the Buddha Bed, a firepit on the banks of the river, a Meditation Hut with a hammock for napping or meditating, an organic potager garden and chicken coop with daily farm fresh eggs from the resident hens.
