Canton Church 4.3

Canton Church is located near the heart of Canton, GA about halfway between the city of Atlanta and the North Georgia mountains. We were originally planted as the Canton Campus of Mount Paran North Church in Marietta, GA and Pastor Mark Walker on January 8, 2012.

For 209 Sundays we met as a portable church, setting up and tearing down to have church in Sequoyah High School. God was so faithful to us in that season, as an amazing team of volunteers drove Uhaul trucks, unloaded in the elements, set up hundreds of feet of pipe and drape and we worked around high school drama sets to hold church on Sundays. Hundreds of people were saved and our resolve was forged to partner with other area churches to transform our community.

January 17, 2016 we moved to Bluffs Parkway and established our first permanent location in leased retail space and Canton Church was born. We rebranded with the move but remained a campus of Mount Paran North. That first year was amazing as several hundred people visited for the first time, many of them coming to find Canton Church as their new home.

May 21, 2017 we announced at both MPN locations that Canton Church would “disengage” to become an autonomous church. After months of discussion, counsel and prayer our Pastors felt that the time was right. It was such a beautiful picture of church planting as a “mother church” birthed this new work and helped nurture it to a place of health where we could step out on our own.

In the fall of 2017 we are expanding our facility to allow us to serve more people every week!

We are so thankful for all that God has done through an amazing group of people so far and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!
