The Adult Education Department consists of GED preparation and post secondary preparation for adults from ages of 16 or higher. The Bledsoe Literacy Council will provide GED classes twice a week for 48 weeks of the year for skills to pass the GED standards. In these classes the skills of Language Writing , math skills of geometry, algebra and many others, essay writing, and science plus social studies knowledge will be cover for the students to gain knowledge to pass the new standards of the GED.

The classes will run both day and night, on Tuesday and Thursday night only and Monday thru Thursday classes will be daytime classes for 20 hours a week.

The night classes will cover the basic needs for the parents. The day classes will cover the basic needs and employability skill also. The will be taught computer skills, data enter and organizational skills to manage their educational future.

The adults will manage their life style to make a better life for their family by studying the skills to pass the GED and enter college. They will be provide with encouragement of self-esteem that they can become as smart as the other fellow. They will be given a project to complete and have detail book when finished to present to the library of finding the roots in Bledsoe County.

The adults will develop skills to improve their life style with showing pride in their work and knowledge of a subject of earning of their choice.

The BLC will develop classes for the adults to have the opportunities to develop knowledge of information so they can pass the GED in Science and Social Studies thru historical events of the history thru county information to relate to their families and community.
