Bay Shore Fire Department 4.4

Bay Shore Fire Department was formed in 1891 and is currently made up of 5 companies and 140 active duty firefighters. The department is lead by 1 Chief, 2 Asst. Chiefs, 5 Captains, and 10 Lieutenants. BSFD protects the communities of Bay Shore and the Village of Brightwaters with 5 engines, 2 ladders, 1 heavy rescue, 1 dive/ice team, 1 boat, and 3 fire patrol/police units. Department Headquarters in staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a dispatcher located at 195 5th Ave in Bay Shore.
