The new administration at Barringer Academy of the Arts and Humanities (B.A.A.H.) recognizes the value of great teaching and is looking to assemble a team of professionals, who - with collaboration and support - can achieve greatness.

As the third oldest high school in America, Barringer High School was once home to scholars who grew to become PhDs, Congressman, athletes, and blue- and white-collar professionals. Unfortunately, Barringer has not enjoyed the same level of success in the past few decades. As the community faced increasing struggles, so did our schools. Individually, many teachers achieved great success in their classrooms at Barringer, but the school, as a whole, struggled. Gangs became more prevalent, violence and crime increased, and students were increasingly distracted by non-academic endeavors. This is a trend that the new administrative team and instructional staff at Barringer Academy of the Arts and Humanities are dedicated to changing. The community has shown mass support for the new school and our new direction, with parental attendance at “Back to School Night” and “Report Card Night” at record levels.
