Angry Owl - Tacoma, WA 1.35

A few weeks ago I was at the city dump and it hit me harder than ever... we are a wasteful people. I was in tears for the next few hours. I couldn't stop thinking about the resources we use whilst "keeping up with the Jones-es". Weve been conditioned to always reach for bigger and better. I see nothing wrong with human growth, but competition with one another over materials that we are just going to throw out in a year or less... completely irrational.

My goal is to take the things that people discard and give it new life. I realize I'm not some perfect Earth Ranger fighting tooth and nail for the rhinos of the world, but I do know that every bit counts. We can't always be expected to completely change our lives at the drop of a hat. But we can learn. We can live mindfully. We can still be good to the land and all we are blessed with and look fine af doing it! ;)

Too much beauty in the world and even my little town and my Evergreen State, not to capture and share as much of it as I can.
