To accomplish our mission, Alaska Geographic...

* Operates bookstores in over 40 locations statewide, plus our online store

* Engages thousands of Alaska youth in outdoor experiential education programs such as the Chugach Children's Forest

* Publishes more than 100 books, maps, films, and free visitor guides

* Offers accredited field courses through Murie Science and Learning Center in Denali National Park

* Provides in-depth information online to help you explore Alaska

* Works in cooperation with our partners, including land management agencies, business associates, and educational organizations

* Contributes nearly $3 million each year in financial support and services to Alaska’s parks, forests, refuges, and other public lands

Alaska Geographic's work is undertaken with generous contributions from members and donors, as well as income earned from our bookstores and other sources.

Alaska Geographic is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code.
