I love teaching because it’s about helping people communicate in a world which increasingly depends on people speaking across borders.

Being able to talk to people in English is becoming more and more important to people of all ages and from many countries. I love helping people learn a skill that they can use to find work, study in the UK, USA and other English speaking countries, and to travel and make friends around the world.

I was born in Australia and spent several years working as a designer, mostly in textile design, print design and lingerie garment design. I love Australia and it will always be home. But I love living in London because it’s such a dynamic, exciting and young city. I now have two homes.

I studied at the University of Sydney for my Bachelor of Arts and also at East Sydney Fashion Design College. I worked as a textile designer and underwear designer for several years in Sydney, Australia. I learned to teach first as a designer, teaching design assistants basic skills and really enjoyed it. I learned to teach English in London at St Giles International, London Central, where I began working immediately after qualifying.

I now teach private classes at Kaplan International. I teach private one to one lessons in Hackney, North London and surrounding areas.
