My name is Daniel Brown, and I make and sell at craft fairs, in order to fund my university fees and achieve my aspirations of becoming a doctor. Ever since my accident in 2010, where I was hospitalised by a car accident on Elland road, I have wanted to give something back for the care and support I received by the hospital.

I started fundraising for the next few years, from humble beginnings of handmade soap which I gave the profit to Leeds children's hospital fund. The novelties I created involved teeth, dead fish and then my very own flanimals - of which are my favourite idea that I sadly discontinued.

The work I did, and the amazing contacts I had at the charity opened the opportunity to become known, and my frequent trips to the office with donations brought smiles to myself and the staff, knowing the difference I had made and learning my donations went towards Christmas presents for Santa to deliver on the wards.

I was then invited to the grand opening of the newly refurbished building, now known as 10sp. This lead to great excitement and personal achievement when it was explained that I would officially unveil the buildings opening, and be immortalised on its plaque outside forever.

I then realised that I had a talent for making things, and such oddities were perfect for me to hold my own table at local craft fairs. I started to attend Morley craft fair at this point, and have continued to do it for the past 4 ish years. My role had slowly transitioned from running my own fundraising stall to taking on larger responsibilities such as a tombola. This proved ideal to be able to make my own products for funding my university costs, and thus began the next phase of my creative streak.

My vinyl pictures were born out of a newfound creativity, with the help of technical skills learned through my summer job. These have been highly successful due to their personalisation, which lead to the idea of personalised gifts
