Realising that there was a gap in the market for a specialist saddlers in the ‘North of England’ former jockey Chris Hoggard opened ‘White Rose Saddlery’ in Malton, supplying local trainers, jockeys and stable staff with their clothing and equipment. The business now has an excellent name within the British horse racing industry and for the last 30 years has built a strong reputation as a manufacturer and supplier of high quality racing wear and equipment,

In 2007 the business relocated to a redeveloped part of the historic ‘Wold House’ stables situated on the outskirts of Malton, adjacent to the gallops. The converted stables have provided the business with an excellent showroom, a large saddlery workshop and good parking.

In 2009 White Rose Saddlery opened retail premises at Beverley racecourse which is conveniently situated close to the weighing room and serves the racing fraternity on race days. We also sponsor an amateur rider’s race every year at Beverley.

White Rose Saddlery are great supporters of Point to Point racing and attend most of the Yorkshire Area Point to Point meetings with their trade stand. We are also proud sponsors of the Yorkshire Area Point to Point Ladies Championship and also support and provide sponsorship for Pony Racing and various ‘charity’ races. Jockey's Chris and John Dawson both presently fly the flag on the racecourse for White Rose Saddlery through the sponsorship we provide.

The website was launched in 2010 and has proved to be a useful on line shopping service for customers further afield. On our website can be found a good selection of products to browse and purchase. For customers with special requirements or bespoke work we will be happy to deal with all orders and enquiries over the phone.

We also manufacture many products and have a repair and embroidery service available in our fully equipped workshop.
