This station is crewed 24 hours a day by Wholetime Duty System (WDS) staff. It has 28 Firefighters, 8 Crew Managers, and 4 Watch Managers split over 4 watches (Red,White,Blue and Green).
To ensure we can respond safely and effectively to all types of incidents we train whilst on duty. When we aren't responding to incidents we also undertake prevention activities such as Safe and Well checks.
We may need Community Volunteers - so please get in touch if you think you have what it takes and want to make a contribution to your community.
Westbourne Fire Station is home to the larger of the two Aeriel Ladder Platforms (ALPS) in Dorset. It has a working height of 32m and can deliver 3800 litres of water every minute from this height.
