Aims

• To keep the local community up to date with school activities
• To build our community spirit
• To show all the little (and big) things that make our school community great

WEINS will:

• Check all comments prior to publishing and will not support interactions that incite or fuel overly negative sentiments
• Be role models for how to behave in a social media environment
• Set the strength level of the Facebook profanity filter and to add additional words and names to the page’s blocklist
• Ban any user from its Facebook page for breaches of the Terms of Use
• Operates under Facebook’s Terms and Conditions

Facebook Users must:

• Have a Facebook account that clearly identifies them by their real name
• Agree to conduct all interactions in a respectful manner
• Be role models for how to behave in a social media environment

Facebook Users Can:

• Comment on the school’s postings and on comments by other users, all comments will be authorised before being published on Facebook
• Use the Facebook Page to inform WEINS about issues, however many school related matters are best dealt with privately
• Use names in posts when they want to recognise someone’s great work, community contribution or celebrate achievement
• Report any inappropriate behaviour or content using the "Report" link located at the bottom of each comment
• Encourage children, under parental supervision to view our page and contribute to content. Under Facebook Terms and Conditions children under the age of 13 years are not able to create their own Facebook account

Facebook uses can not:

• Use the Facebook page to address issues with specific children, staff or community members
• Use names of our teaching and administration staff, children or any other member of the community in issue based postings
