Established in 1983 WD Close & Sons, a family owned company, has always strived to offer an exacting sub-contract service by regular investment in plant, machinery, systems and people.
There are two divisions within the company: Architectural Metalwork and General Engineering which together now have an annual turnover in excess of £9m and employ over 100 staff.
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, our facilities are close to all of the major road links in the North East region.
Close Architectural specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of architectural metalwork for major construction companies throughout the U.K. and abroad.
Close Engineering provide a complete service in the supply of fabrications to the offshore, Sub Sea, Power Generation and General Engineering Industries throughout the U.K. and abroad.
