Uttoxeter Badminton Club 2.83

Uttoxeter Badminton Club is a Badminton England Premier Badminton Club and has links with Thomas Alleyne’s High School as part of the East Staffordshire ‘Schools Sports Partnership’. We will, for the twelfth year, be affiliated to Badminton England and it is our eighth year as a premier club.

We play on four courts, during term time, at Thomas Alleyne’s sports hall in Uttoxeter. Club Night’s are Thursdays 5.30–7pm Junior Club & 7–10pm Adults.

The junior section has been run by Veronica White (Badminton England level 2 coach) for 21+ years, ably assisted by talented young coaches and helpers as part of the ‘Step into Sport Programme’ or Duke of Edinburgh community award. Some helpers have gone on to take their coaching awards and are coaching in their own right.

The junior club provides coaching appropriate to the age and ability of the member.

In the adult section we have teams in the East Staffordshire League. We run coaching sessions to give our members an opportunity to improve.
