Union Bar 4.02

Set in the first miners hall in Durham city, this grade 2 listed building is shouting history.

The building was the head quarters of the Durham miners association. The first floor had 4 plinths which stood statues of union leaders of the time.

In the early 1900's the head quarters was relocated to Redhills and the statues are still on display there now.

Since then the building has been many things over the years and now sits our bar designed to show the quirky old brick and stone walls to preserve the old union halls.
