Trust House Lincolnshire 1.33

Thanks to core funding from the Ministry of Justice, The Survivors Trust, a national umbrella agency for specialist rape and sexual violence support services, has been able to establish a new centre in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Trust House Lincolnshire is a specialist sexual violence and abuse support centre, set up to offer support, counselling and advocacy to those, both males and females affected by rape and sexual abuse. We offer a safe space where survivors can access a range of services to help improve their health and wellbeing, regain their confidence and self-esteem and be empowered to reclaim their lives.

Trust House Lincolnshire provides a confidential phone line offering emotional support, information and referral to our counselling and support services. Our specialist counselling service is provided by volunteer counsellors who have completed our rigorous and comprehensive in-house training. Our Clinical Lead, who has extensive experience of supporting survivors of sexual violence and abuse, provides supervision for all our client work.

We also provide an adult ISVA service. Our Adult Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) is a trained specialist who provides practical and emotional support for adults who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual exploitation at any time. Support and advice is also offered to family or carers. We can also signpost to other services for those who require the support of a children and young person's ISVA.

Our staff team comprises a team of dedicated volunteers and paid staff who have all completed training in line with The Survivors Trust National Service Standards and who work in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework.

Our premises are currently based in Grantham, and in future we aim to develop outreach satellite services across Lincolnshire. In time we also hope to offer a range of support groups.
