He qualified as an Equine Veterinary Nurse in 2010, then deciding to study Equine Dentistry qualifying as a BAEDT and BVDA Equine Dental Technician in 2012.

Tom is a keen horse rider in his spare time and regularly competes at BSJA & BE, he has also attended International Endurance Young Rider events in Czech Republic, Spain and Hungary as assistant to the team vet.

Tom’s pragmatic yet sympathetic approach to Equine Dental Care means he is always interested in seeing horses which in the past have been difficult to examine and treat, or are known to require sedatives or extensive work. On the rare occasion where sedation may be required we can arrange for this through Rase Veterinary Equine to coincide with the visit.

Whether at your own premises or at the Rase Veterinary Centre practice we are fully equipped with the most modern equipment and sedatives for the more nervous patients.

Much of our routine work is carried out on our client's premises, but increasingly we are treating more patients at the practice. This is usually for more advanced cases where we find it is often easier and safer to use the stocks at the surgery. We do however accept clients bringing their horses to the surgery for routine work due to convenience or to use the facilities.
