I discovered the effectiveness of homeopathy when my son was a baby suffering from severe eczema. He was covered from head to foot, and the only treatment that conventional medicine could offer was steroid- based cream, which had a frightening list of side effects. I turned to a homeopath on the recommendation of a friend, and his eczema was gone within six months.

Homeopathy continued to help my son (now 19) through childhood illnesses and allergies, and gradually I changed the way I thought about health and disease. Four years later, I decided to change my career path to become a homeopath, embarking on the four year course at the prestigious School of Homeopathy in Devon, the longest established in the UK. I was awarded my diploma in June 2005.

I’m a classical homeopath (using single remedies at the minimum doses needed) offering treatment which aims to get to the deepest roots of illness, treating the cause of disease rather than just the symptoms. I'm working with new advances in homeopathic medicine (known as the sensation method), developed in India and becoming increasingly popular across the world.

I'm registered with the Society of Homeopaths, which has stringent education standards for its recognised colleges, and a strict code of ethics and practice.

I’m also the editor of the Society's quarterly journal, making use of my previous career as a journalist. I trained on local newspapers before going freelance, writing widely about health issues in national magazines and newspapers. I still keep my hand in with the odd article.

I recently re-located to Devon and offer home visits in the Torbay and South Hams areas.
