Situated in the heart of Little Chelsea, just 2 minutes walk from Eastbourne Railway Station, The Vinyl Frontier was established in 2012 by Chris King, a former music journalist, DJ and band / club Promoter, and is now run by Chris with his business partner, former musician and ex-journalist Rhyddian Pugh.

Committed collectors and casual browsers welcome.

Catering for the committed collector, the music enthusiast and the casual browser, The Vinyl Frontier’s vintage vinyl stock spans a spectrum of music from the 1950s through to the present. The shop stocks a myriad of musical styles including Jazz, Blues, 1960s beat and pop, Soul and Motown, Reggae, 70s rock, Prog, Punk, New Wave, Grunge, Brit Pop and more. Stock is regularly refreshed (pretty much daily) so it is always worth dropping in to have a rummage.

Prices from as little as £3

Prices are competitive and range from ‘bargain bins’ offering individual records at £3 (or 4 for £10) and £5 (or £5 for £20), up to more expensive rare and collectable vinyl. The shop has an impressive choice of collectable second hand records from artists as diverse as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Fairport Convention, The Killers, Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Marley, New Order, John Coltrane, Black Sabbath, Kate Bush, Talking Heads and much, much more.

Not just dusty classics but brand new music!

Alongside this vast array of top quality old vinyl The Vinyl Frontier also stocks brand new current releases from popular contemporary artists such as Blur, Paul Weller, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Mumford & Sons, Lana Del Rey, Amy Winehouse, Laura Mvula, Adele, Arcade Fire, to name but a few. The shop also boasts an extensive selection of brand new high-quality 180gram vinyl re-issues of classic albums, by the likes of The Velvet Underground, The Beach Boys, Nick Drake, Miles Davis, Primal Scream, Deep Purple, The Strokes, Joy Divison, Pulp and more.
