The unique atmosphere of 'The Pump' plays host to a multitude of musical events, band rehearsals, gigs, plays, parties and meetings

Friday Folk Guest evenings are held on the first Friday of the month and cost varies but is generally around a tenner. As well as the usual folk club floor spots on guest nights a special support spot will precede the guest after the interval. Tickets for Friday Folk events are generally available on the door but on major guest nights places can be reserved by telephoning Rosie Upton on 01225 865107.To book a floor spot or special guest spot contact Rosie on 01225 865107.
Open Mic Nights are held on the third Friday of every month. All types of music welcome, solo artists, duos, bands or poets reading or reciting. Everyone pays £3 on the door. This is important to note because any money raised is used to cover venue costs.
The Pump is also available for hire for a mulitude of different events. Although the events are usually music related this is not a pre-requisite of hire. The venue is also used by bands of various genres for rehearsal and recording purposes.
