The Three Horseshoes is a small olde worlde pub nestled in a tiny hamlet in rural surroundings, great for walking - local cycling and rambling groups regularly use the pub.

The building is more than 250 years old, and documents date the first landlord on this site back to 1690; it is built in a traditional Kentish style, with a white weatherboard exterior and a traditional Kent peg tile roof. Internally some original features still remain, including the old oak beams, and the huge central fireplace – now just a feature as it is impractical in the small bar, nevertheless, there is a gorgeous open fire to one side, around which to congregate in winter.

Outside there is a small, sunny garden with tables under the shelter of the ancient walnut tree, which still produces an abundance of fruit.

Final mention must go to the unique, and apparently world-famous, wheelie-bin race, organised by the pub every summer on a – hopefully sunny – July day!
